Statement of problem: One of common problems associated with implant restorations is screw loosening and fracture. If inappropriate torque is applied, screw loosening and/or fracture would be occurred. Subsequently, implant prostheses may failed. Therefore, accuracy of torque delivery system for tightening implant screw is very important. Purpose: It was aimed to evaluate the accuracy of implant torque devices and torque value delivered. Materials and method: Implant torque wrench(30Ncm), implant torque driver(10, 20, 32Ncm) and electronic torque controller(OsseoCare^(TM), DEA090, Nobel Biocare AB, Gothenburg, Sweden) 20, 30Ncm were tested. A Tohnichi torque gauge(BTG60CN, Tohnichi MFG. Co., LTD, Japan) was used to measure the torque value of each torque devices. The torque values generated by each devices, at each level, were analyzed using analysis of variance and t-test. Results and conclusion: Within the limits of this study the following conclusion were obtained; 1. In Comparison with 6 torque devices, 3i 20Ncm implant torque driver produced the most accurate and consistent torque values, and Nobel Biocare electronic implant torque controllers 20Ncm produced the most inaccurate torque values. 2. In Comparison with three similar target torque value devices, Centerpulse implant torque wrenches 30Ncm(TW30) have small standard error, 3i implant torque drivers 32Ncm have medium standard error and the standard error of Nobel Biocare electronic implant torque controllers 30Ncm grow most. 3. In Comparison with three torque systems, the accuracy of Centerpulse implant torque wrenches and 3i implant torque drivers are better than Nobel Biocare electronic implant torque controllers.
