    Teachers' promotion rules require teachers teaching in rural area schools for promotion. Therefore, there are more old teachers teaching in rural area schools than the in urban area schools. If this is true, I want to know how awareness of teachers' promotion rules. This study has three purposes: First, what are the differences in age, career, and the school achievements of the last graduate schools between urban and rural areas teachers? Second, what are the differences of the awareness on career suppression, duty result suppression, study results and added marks between urban and rural areas teachers? Finally, I want to suggest how to improve the program policies. The out comes of the study ard as follows: First, there are higher average ages in the rural school teaching staffs: (40.56 years) than the urban teacher's average age(35.32 years). Second, There are many more male teachers in the rural school than in urban area schools. Third, there are more teachers holding graduate degrees in rural schools than in urban schools. Finally, There are the same statistics awareness on the duty result suppression, study result and added marks, except for career suppression. The limitaions of this study was that the number of surveyed teachers was so small for statistics analysis.
