    This research, investigating the requirements of a lifelong education program for the parents of children with developmental disabilities, is to provide basic information for the development of a lifelong education program. For this purpose, it proceeded with interviews of 10 parents of children with developmental disabilities from Saejong and Chungnam. As a result, 4 upper categories, 12 subcategories, and 39 meaning units have been derived. Four upper categories showed setting up a base for lifelong education, hope program: from "cure" to "job", love, communication skills, professional teachers, and a relaxing learning place. Twelve subcategories were an individualization of lifelong education, a convenient and relaxing institution operation, a cure program, an independent living, a recreational program, awareness and information education, a vocational training program, the teachers who love working with developmental disabilities, experienced teachers for disability and special education, qualified and professional teachers, lifelong education considering developmental disabilities, and programs for developmental disabilities. To generalize the research of a lifelong education program for children with developmental disabilities, the range of participants would need to be expanded to the whole country, as well as other areas of disability are required for the expansion. In addition, various follow-up researches, like a lifelong education institution and ways of supporting lifelong education, would be required.
