The purpose of this study is the development of teaching and learning materials that utilize the mathematical history In this study, I have analyzed 8 kind of textbooks about the mathematical history of equation chapter. As a result of the analysis, most texbooks are found to have stopped short at merely mentioning the related mathematical history in the entry or review section. This study, therefore, produced the material that will help students in discovering the included principles of mathematics, not just through a simple presentation but through an epilogue, for mathematical history questions with examples that are linked to high school mathematics 1 equation. Through this, students are expected to develop interest and a positive attitude toward Mathematics.
