The Influence of New Learning Management System(LMS) to the Satisfaction of Learning

    In the university that rapidly is changed as learner-centered, the interests are increasing about offering a future-oriented value in reality, and the way how to include ideas or functions of e-learning and needs and techniques about the new information and communication technologies in LMS. In this study, we propose the directions of development and operation of LMS for effective teaching and learning activities based on research about the effects of university students' e-learning satisfaction about the introduction of LMS. For this study, the surveys was conducted twice targeted e-learning students in the A section. 536 people from the old LMS, 553 people in the new LMS were effectively responded. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t black, correlation analysis, ANOVA analysis, multiple regression analysis were performed. Main results are as follows. First, students' learning satisfaction of the old LMS and new LMS is different. Second, students' learning satisfaction of the old LMS and new LMS has significant differences by gender, grade level, and major. But there was no difference in the number of taking classes. Third, motivation and experience of the old LMS and new LMS significantly have significant influences on all factors of learning satisfaction. In other words, learning satisfaction was overall increased depending on the construction of a new LMS and learners' background variables and student characteristics were showed significant differences based on the LMS. However, in the learning system more than a certain level, only the introduction of a new LMS had difficulties to significant changes. In this study, we propose following suggestions based on results. First, provide the continuous interest and research for LMS that can reflect changes of Educational environment and the development of information technology. And maintain and improve continuously the more than certain level of LMS reflecting the needs of user. Second, the adaptation of the learner according to Fluctuations in the system is required. Improve of Teaching- Learning should be additional supported to Instructor. Accordingly Learning Satisfaction will increase. Third, the content that Mobile support is available and future-oriented Teaching-Learning methods that reflect development must be done on a regular basis.
