History is something we must know, and the past plays such a critical role of connecting the present and the future. As long as mankind continues its existence, the histories of sciences, liberal arts, social studies including music will accompany them. Because music doesn't exist itself, it generates and develops for human by human. By coming and examining contents about the history of Western music in the officially approved authorized music textbooks(seventeen kinds) currently being used the students, this study set out to help the students understand the history of music more easily by connecting the whole periods of the Western music history. This research findings were as follows: First, the part of history of music should be more and connected to the parts to the parts and the text to text about singing, appreciation during class so that the student can have access to more fulfilled music education. Secondly, there should be a comprehensive connection in music education to help the students compare the characteristics of each period, music forms, and more easily understand the changing process and history flow of music. Finally, suggested in the study were diagrams by the period and years to promote the student's understanding oof Western history of music and develop a big picture of connected learning between of music education and the history of social studies etc. The music teachers will be able to provide higher quality lessons on history and music by studying and applying more diverse teaching and learning methods and stimulating the students' interest in the history of music. Thus it's important to continue ongoing research on the ways of connected learning by comparison of Western history of music. I hope the music text contains the whole period so that the students have a general view of the history of Western music, and the method of a connected music history presented through this study to give a new vision to every students.
