This thesis presents an analysis of the power transfer characteristics for a series resonant type wireless power transfer circuit. The source and transmit circuit have a LLC type series resonant topology and the receiver has a series connection. The voltage and power transfer characteristics of this circuit depend on the coupling coefficient and load variations. In order to analyze these characteristics, the voltage and power transfer ratios are derived from the T-equivalent circuit of the series type wireless power transfer circuit. The simulation study using the MATLAB and PSIM programs is carried out for the various coupling coefficient and load conditions. The series type wireless power transfer circuit is implemented and the experimental results are provided to verify the theoretic and simulated analysis.
