    This study examines what kind of effect Reality therapy parent role training would have on positive thought and self-esteem of them. From the womb to the tomb in relationship, a human usually develops relations with others around him/her through interchanges. Such a relationship is not established automatically, but by intentional learning and continuous endeavor(Hyeong Deuk Lee, 1995). In these days of information age, although there are a lot of information, clients Realityly report that the problems occurring in the relationships with their children have been increased, and it is also observed that parents become afflicted with the a rupture of the relations or strive to retrieve deteriorated one. However, a stopgap measure may be not a fundamental solution. Therefore, in order to establish better relationship between parent-child, rather than merely problem-solving, it is focused on an extension of positive aspect, as the latest concept of positive psychology. In the same vein, from the Reality Therapy perspective in which positive aspect of human may be fostered, parents can be a model which enhances their child's self-esteem and courage them to think positive, by changing themselves initiatively. Thus, this researcher tries to examine how parents know that they perceive Reality world and select which attitude in the relationships with children and think positively and differently, in order to look at their child from positive view, apply the Reality therapy to real world by learning it and feel a sense of achievement and enhance self esteem through self-growth, through parent role training Housewives in T and K city are selected as subjects and they are divided into experimental and control group: the former receives the reality therapy parent role training and the latter is not treated. The quantitative test is conducted by using several instruments, including positive thought scale, self encouragement-self discouragement scale and two-way self-esteem scale. The analysis is implemented to verify what effect parent role training has on positivee thought, self-esteem, self discouragement-self encouragement and two-way self-esteem, and SPSS 20.0 is used as the analysis tool. Therefore, the findings of pre/post test seem to be significant in positive thought, self discouragement-self encouragement and two-way self esteem and so on. Thus, it is found that the parent role training with reality therapy theory promotes the enhancement of positive thought and self esteem. If at first, parents are changed to initiatively practice through the parent education, their children would receive an opportunity to learn and begin modeling in their lives.
