비대칭 중공형 샤프트 압출제품의 휘어짐 개선에 관한 연구

Hollow shaft is one of the widely used products in automotives such as steering system, propeller shaft, etc. For manufacturing of the hollow shaft, raw metallic material is pressed by punch and it passes through the gap between the mandel and the bottom die., i.e., the forward extrusion is frequently used. Sometimes, products have asymmetric cross-sectional shape, which give rise to the unnecessary curvature with respect to the longitudinal direction owing to the different flow rate depending upon the cross-section reduction ratio. In the present study, the key way was proposed in the raw material and the size effect of the key way to the deflection quantity of the hollow product, therefore, the forming analysis, stress analysis in die using Deform-3D, and experiments were performed to reduce the axial deflection of the asymmetric hollow shaft product.
