For phono-semantically formed characters compose over 80% of the chinese characters, understanding the phonon-semantic compound characters is not only crucial but also necessary in studying chinese characters. Characters with same phonetic compounds most of the times share or have similar sounds. However, in case df chinese characters, finding phonetic compound is perplexing since through the changes from Oracle Bone Script, Bronze Inscription, Seal Scrpt, Clerical Script, and finally to Regular Scrip, the formation of the letters has been modified, omitted and abbreviated, hence, in some cases, the original formation does not appear explicitly. In this study, among the characters with no clear showing df the phonetic components, few phono-semantic compound characters using 者, 勺, 才, 정 and 囱 as a basic phonetic component were selected and analyzed for their origin, typeface and sound, concentrating on the phonetic component and the formation df the characters. Primary phono-semantic characters using 者 as a phonetic component are formed such as 都, 書, 署, 緖, 煮, 諸. Primary phono-semantic character 諸 becomes a component of secondary phono-semantic characters such as 儲, 藷, Identicalness and similarity can be proven by proven by comparing the relationship of the original phonetic compound of 者 with same sound and/or approximant and Old sound and Ancient sound.
