Due to the rapid changes in the social environment, there are also changes in one's personal values. These changes in the family structure include having both parents working, the increase in nuclear families (a father, mother, and their children), the increase in single-parents, and having the grandparents care for the grandchildren. As a result of these factors, young children may have difficulty adapting or show behavioral problems. Young children are exposed to a variety of problems at kindergarten, which is their first institute away home. Because of unusual circumstances, young children's abnormal behaviors are more difficult to identify. These issues require a specialized and wide range of behavior guidance to identify symptoms and remedy them for better development during early childhood. A variety of studies have been made about the variable reasons for behavioral problems. Social and emotional skills, which young children acquire through their environment and education, are important variables in order to understand and explain behavioral problems. The purpose of this study is to see how young children's play habits and ability to creatively problem solve can affect their behavior. Upon the purpose of this study, research questions were established as follows: 1. What is the difference of the playfulness according to the general background of young children (types of kindergarten, gender, age)? 2. What is the difference of the creativity according to the general background of young children (types of kindergarten, gender, age)? 3. What is the difference of the behavioral problems according to the general background of young children (types of kindergarten, gender, age)? 4. What is the influence of the playfulness and creativity to the behavioral problems? The subjects of this study are 429 young children between 3 years old and 4 years old, and 5 years old, who attend public and private kindergartens in the Busan. The data collected for this study was analyzed using the PASW18.0, an independent sample t-test, and a one-way ANOVA. In the case of the one-way ANOVA, Scheffé post-examination was conducted to find group differences. The questionnaire of this study was distributed after researcher visited classroom teachers and asked for their cooperation. During the visitation, researcher explained the purposes and methods of the study with precautions. Classroom teachers checked the items in each questionnaire with the best results after observation of the targeted children. Results of this study were as follows: First, there is no difference of playfulness according to the types of kindergartens and gender among the general backgrounds. However, Three year old group and four year old group show higher result than five year old group. Second, there was no difference of creative personality characteristics according to the types of kindergarten among the general backgrounds. The boys showed higher results than girls. Three year old group and five year old group show higher result than four year old group. Third, there was no difference of the behavioral problems according to the types of kindergarten among the general backgrounds. The girls were higher than the boys and Five year old group show higher result than three year old group and four year old group. Fourth, young children's playfulness in creases with in creasing creativity and personality traits and behavioral problems decrease with increasing of playfulness. Young children's behavioral problems increase with increasing of creative personality traits In addition, young children's playfulness and creative personality characteristics affect their behavioral problems.
