The research found the relationship mother empathy perceived by middle school, self-esteem and self-regulation and tried to verify mediating effect of self-regulation. A research model was set middle school students' perceived mother empathy, self-regulation skills, self-esteem test and the The subjects were sampled with 500 students of grade 1,2,3 attending The four middle school that in Busan and Ulsan area. The research used 459 questionnaire except for poor and missing answers. The research performed verification of Pearson correlations to find out correlat-ions for each important variable by using SPSS 20.0 program and Multiple regression analysis to find out Influence of each variable. Also the research used to verify the effect of hierarchical multiple regression analysis and verified the mediating effect by Sobel Test. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the middle school students' pe-rceived mother empathy was positive correlation in self-esteem and self-regulation skills. In addition, the relation between self-esteem and self-regulation were positive correlation. Second, empathic emotion perception and emotional response in the middle school students' perceived mother empathy have a significant effect on self-regulation. Third, empathic emotion perception and emotional response in the middle school students' perceived mother empathy have a significant effect on self-esteem. Fourth, collective self-esteem, hypothetical self-esteem and school-esteem in the middle school students' self-esteem have significant effect on self-regulation. Fifth, self-esteem has partial mediation in the relationship between the middle school students' perceived mother empathy and self-regulation. Conclusions based on the results of the study are as follows. The more recog-nize and express the middle school students' perceived mother empathy on the child's emotional, the higher self-regulation skills and The higher the self-esteem of middle school students have, the higher self-regulation skills. In addition, the more recognize and express the middle school students' perceived mother empathy on the child's emotional, the higher self-esteem and mother empathy is more increase self-regulation as the mediating effect. This study has a meaning to unde-rstand the relationship the middle school students' perceived mother empathy, self-esteem and self-regulation skills and has a meaning to find out important variables that self-esteem should be focused intervention to increase self-regulation. The research suggests that program development of improving method of self-regulation skills would be more effective in after study.
