    Educational Master`s Thesis The Effects of the Integrated Arts Therapy on Depression, Self-control and School Life Adaptation of Middle School Students' Proneness to Smart-phone Addiction Lee, Seo-Kyoung Major in Counseling Psychology Graduate School of Education Kyungsung University Advisor : Cheon, Seong-Moon Abstract The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of the integrated arts therapy on depression, self-control and school life adaptation of middle school students' proneness to smart-phone addiction. In order to verify the purpose of this study, self smart-phone addiction diagnostic scale which is invented by Korea Information Society Agency(2011) was carried out to all 365 students of J girls middle school located in Busan. 24 students are chosen among dangerous group on the test(over total 42point) and they were willing to participate the program. Participants were divided into two each 12 student group as control and experimental group by random assignment. In order to verify the effect of the program, pre-post inspection for depression, self-control and school life adaptation were carried out. The SPSS WIN 20.0 was used and T-test was performed to find out for difference between pre-post inspection of control and experimental group. The results of this study are as follows : First, depression of the experimental group after participating integrated arts therapy was decreased than control one that is not participated in the program. Second, self-control of the experimental group after participating integrated arts therapy was improved than control one that is not participated in the program. Third, school life adaptation of the experimental group after participating integrated arts therapy was improved than control one that is not participated in the program. According to the results, this program is useful for decreasing of depression and improving of self-control and school life adaptation. Finally, the program help maintaining for sound school life through reducing negative emotion and improving of self-control.
