    The aim of this study was to examine body composition and muscular strength responses to blood flow restriction training protocols in middle aged women. Twenty three healthy middle aged women completed 8 weeks of general weight training (WT, n=7), blood flow restriction training (BFR, n=9) and control (CON, n=7) three times per week. Both upper and lower body exercises were performed with specific intensity for each group. WT group were trained with 65~70% load of 1RM. BFR group were trained with 30% load of 1RM and the restrictive pressures that were applied by 100% and 120% of systolic blood pressure for upper limbs and hind limbs each. Body composition and muscular strength were measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry(DXEA) and isokinetic dynamometer before and after the training session. Statistical analysis were performed paired T -test to compare the changes between before and after the training, and ANCOVA(Analysis of Covariance) to measure the difference between the treated groups.
