    본 연구는 슬괵근에 대한 일회성 Graston Technique 처치가 슬관절 유연성과 순발력에 미치는 영향을 검토하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상자는 만18~25세 남자대학생 23명을 선정하여 Graston Technique, 정적스트레칭, 통제 처치를 counterbalanced order에 따라 실시하였다. 슬괵근의 유연성을 측정하기 위해 능동 슬관절 신전 검사를 실시하였으며, 순발력을 측정하기 위해 Vertec VJ system을 이용한 수직점프를 실시하였다. 유연성은 Graston Technique 처치가 정적 스트레칭에 비해 높게 나타났으며(p


    The purpose of this study is to evaluate the acute effects of a Graston Technique treatment for hamstring muscle on the flexibility and agility of knee joint. A total of 23 male college students in the 18 to 25 year-old age bracket were selected for the study. Graston Technique treatment, static stretching treatment, and control treatment were carried out according to counter-balanced order. Active joint knee extension test was conducted in order to measure the flexibility of hamstring muscle, while vertical jumping using Vertical VJ system was performed to measure the agility of hamstring muscle. Flexibility was found to be significantly higher in Graston Technique treatment rather than in static stretching treatment, and the improved flexibility was maintained up to 30 minutes after the treatment. Static stretching treatment also improved flexibility significantly as compared with control treatment, but the results showed that flexibility after the static stretching treatment decreased after 10, 20, and 30 minutes in comparison with Graston Technique. Agility was found to be significantly higher in Graston Technique treatment rather than in control treatment. Agility in static stretching treatment decreased significantly immediately after the treatment, as compared to control treatment. Putting all the above findings together, Graston Technique treatment was more effective in the flexibility and agility of knee joint.
