    A Study on the Improvement of the National Brand inked the Composition of Dongdaemum Special Fashion Zone and the Development of Seoul Collection 21st century is the era where utilization and development of cultural contents form national competitiveness. Culture refers to all conscious activities that we enjoy in a wider category. Food, clothing and shelter are cultural contents that constitute a basic frame within the category of the culture. We don't enjoy food, clothing and shelter culture consciously like we enjoy other cultures, but food, clothing and shelter culture contains the strongest power in the meaning of forming the life of the human beings. Clothing culture is strong cultural contents that form food, clothing and shelter along with food culture and shelter culture, but as there is no significant study regarding cultural contents, this study started. Fashion industry that forms clothing culture is one of the industries that has strong commercial color, but it also has artistic side. Even for the same products, different monetary value according to the artistic value is granted. Fashion industry has an unlimited potential possibility with added value. Considering the total rate of consumption in life of the human beings, it can be said this takes great weight among food, clothing and shelter culture. It has an added value and this study started from the point that studying and developing fashion industry that has a great consumption weight will improve national competitiveness. Fashion show could be an index that measures the degree of a related country's fashion industry growth. Thus, this study has a main subject of fashion show. Firstly, fashion show of France, where is an original country of fashion and plays a role as a home, is analyzed. Based collection that opens regularly, the reason that fashion show has a performance artistry based on stage, lighting and music which are internal components of the fashion show is analyzed. The reason that fashion show became one of the artistic contents is because it is developed into the performance artistic. History of Seoul Collection that is proceeded in Korea based on this analysis and current branches are analyzed and with the same method of analyzing Paris Collection, stage, lighting and music of fashion show was analyzed and problems were extracted. And by showing an example of Dongdaemun, a chance of development of Seoul Collection was suggested. Dongdaemun is a place created while seeking a new place as Dongdaemun Design Plaza was opened. As there has been market traditionally, Dongdaemun is a place where it has a placeness of 'market'. In addition, currently it is a place where reaches its peak of Korean fashion distribution cluster. While it has continuous 24-hour wholesale and retail distribution, it is a shopping district with endless tourists. By grafting Dongdaemun into Seoul Collection, if Dongdaemun can be established into a special fashion zone, Dongdaemun will be a center of Korean fashion industry and Seoul Collection also can contribute to national brand with synergy effect of shared growth.
