    Naïve Shadow Mapping does not adapt to the scene to produce optimal shadow quality. We introduce Adaptive Camera Space Shadow Maps (ACSSM) for real-time adaptive shadow mapping. ACSSM provides better solution than the previous shadow map technique, Camera Space Shadow Maps (CSSM), with automatic focus range adapting to the scene, while CSSM using static focus range. Focus range is the parameter that determines the allocation of shadow map according to the camera distance to the surface. ACSSM produces good shadow quality in near and far area without requiring the user to manually changing the value of focus range. ACSSM also improves the dueling frustum handling in CSSM with low overhead performance.
