A study on flexible transparent conductive films with Ag nanowires and ITO nanoparticles for solar

    ITO-nanoparticles(NPs) acts as a encapsulating agent, improving mechanical property of Ag nanowires (AgNWs) network and surface roughness of transparent conductive films (TCFs). Ag NWs of 1 wt% with a diameter of 50 nm and a length of 20 μm was diluted to ionized water (DI) and was coated onto PET by using a bar coater. In2O3 (90 %):Sn(10 %) solution diluted with ethanol was coated on the Ag NWs coated PET substrate at 2mm/s using a dip coater. Roughness was controlled by adding Ethanol from 17.17 nm to 9.164 nm. The transmittance and sheet resistance was improved when ITO NPs were coated on the Ag NWs and the roughness of TCFs decreased with adding the ITO NPs. The optimization of flexible transparent electrodes resulted with the optical transmittance of 89 % (at 550 nm) and the sheet resistance of 26 Ohm/square. Organic solar cells with conventional structure were fabricated using the prepared flexible TCFs. The efficiency of organic solar cells increased with increasing the transparency of TCFs. As a result, the fabricated flexible TCFs can be used a variety of flexible device applications requiring low temperature and solution process.
