Waist circumference and waist-to-height ratio of subjects were measured to identify blood pressure, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol and fasting glucose. Results: The Prevalence rate of waist circumference(47.83%) was higher than waist-to-height ratio(23.47%) and correlation analysis gave the following result. Systolic blood pressure(r=0.368) HDL cholesterol(r=-0.279) showed a significant correlation with waist circumference and diastolic blood pressure(r=0.345) triglycerides(r=0.360), fasting glucose(r=0.231) showed a higher correlation with waist-to-height ratio. Odds ratio analysis by adjusted for age was high-triglycerides(OR=2.834, 95%), low-HDL cholesterol(OR=5.491, 95%), high- fasting glucose(OR=1.786, 95%) were higher in waist-to-height ratio. Conclusions: Waist circumference, waist-to-height ratio correlated with metabolic syndrome showed differences by diagnostic factors. And we founded significant association between waist-to-height ratio in triglycerides and fasting glucose
