Problems of the Secretarial Annual Salary System in Korea and Suggestions for Remedies
Recently, many Korean firms adopted an annual salary system as a new wage system, The traditional wage system in Korean firms are based on the seniority system till now, An annual salary system has meanings in rationalizing a traditional wage system and motivating employees: therefore, due to these reasons, the introduction of an annual salary system is diffused widely among many korean firms. In this paper, the characteristics, the realities, and the entities of the annual salary system which are introduced recently in korean firms are analyzed from the review of recent surveys. And the specific ways to maximize introduction effects and minimize problems of the annual salary system in Korean firms are discussed. Finally, the suggestions and the problems of the secretaries" annual salary system is referred.
