Designing e-Mentoring System for Office Professionals
Mentor is a trusted and experienced person who provide advices, role modeling, and encouragement to a novice person (mentee) and mentoring is a process of building a mutually beneficial partnership between mentor and men tee. Mentoring is an effective method to support the continuing professional development and the organizational adjustment of novice office professionals. But it is very difficult to secure enough number of experienced mentors. e-Mentoring which uses the internet as the primary mode of communication between mentor and mentee is a good solution for these problems. The main purpose of this study is to design e- Mentoring system that supports knowledge sharing among office professionals. Fifteen mentoring system cases for professionals (entrepreneur, librarians, nurses, office professionals, etc.) were investigated and analyzed in terms of the structures of mentor-mentee relationship, methods and criteria for matching, and significant rules. for program operations. According to the findings of the analysis, e- Mentoring system structure for office professionals was designed using the tool of Data Flow Diagram(DFD) and its construction is on its way completion in the near future.
