In this paper, I discussed visual aspects of Beckett in various manifestations. First, Beckett's stage is strongly visual-oriented. He presents shocking visual elements on stage, and in his directing of his own plays, Beckett showed equally high degree of control over visual details. Secondly, his stage approaches the look of paintings he admired, and he took inspirations from paintings and other visually interesting views. Beckett also created works purely composed of images without an addition of the verbal language. Finally, his interest in the visual and sight leads to his understanding that watching and living are interconnected to such a degree that in his plays sight equals life. In all of these aspects, visual Beckett is at the center of his works.
