Inkjet‐Printing of Single‐Spot‐Structured Electrodes for Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting
In this study, the authors propose a novel approach for fabricating structured photoactive devices by inkjet printing. The basic concept is to build the device out of single‐structured printed spots. The flow behavior within the drying spots, i.e., the coffee‐ring‐effect and Marangoni‐flow, is used to control the structure of the single spots. The approach is implemented in an inkjet‐printing system. Several inks, optimized with respect to the tasks stated above are formulated. Single‐spot‐structured electrodes for photoelectrochemical cells are printed using the proposed approach.
