High-power Nd3+POCl3liquid laser system
The properties of Nd 3+ : POCl 3 -ZrCl 4 and SnCl 4 liquid lasers were investigated. Stimulated-emission cross section, loss coefficient, and terminal-level lifetime were determined. Thermal effect and amplification characteristics were studied. According to the experimental data, the POCl 3 liquid laser seems to be useful for a high-power laser system under suitable arrangements.
