    초록

We review the evolution of electrochemical studies of conducting polymers into the current state-of-the-art based primarily on our work. While conventional electrochemical experiments sufficed for the needs in the phase of studies of both electrochemical synthesis and characterization of conducting polymers, developments of various new experimental techniques have led to their introduction to this field for more refined information. As a result, the conventional electrochemical, spectroelectrochemical, electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance, impedance, and morphological as well as electrical characterization studies all made important contributions to a better understanding of the polymerization mechanisms and the conductive properties of these classes of polymers. From this review, we hereby expect that the electrochemical techniques will continue to play important roles in bringing this field to the practical applications such as nanoscale electronic devices.

    초록

A novel 2-amino-4-(8-quinolinol-5-yl)-1- (p-tolyl)-pyrrole-3-cabonitrile (2) was obtained by the reaction of 2-[2-bromo-1-(8-hydroxyquinolin-5-yl)-ethylidene]-malononitrile (1) with p-toluidene. The new synthon compound (2) could be annelated to the corresponding pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidines (4, 6, 7, 26-28), triazolo[1,5-c]pyrrolo[3,2-e]pyrimidines (10, 29, 30), pyrrolo[2,3-c]pyrazoles (11-15), pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrrolo[3,2-e] pyrimidine (17) and imidazo[1,2-c]pyrrolo[3,2-e]pyrimidines (18-25) via the reaction with some reagents such as acetic anhydride, formamide, triethyl orthoformate, hydrazine hydrate, hydroxylamine, ethylenediamine, carbon disulfide and phosphorus oxychloride. Chemical and spectroscopic evidences for the structures of these compounds are presented. The antifungal and antibacterial activity of the newly synthesized comounds were evaluated.

    초록

A sensitive and selective method for quantitation of sofalcone and its active metabolite in human plasma has been established using liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI/MS/MS). Plasma samples were transferred into 96-well plate using an automated sample handling system and spiked with 10 $\mu$ L of 2 $\mu$ g/mL $d_3$ -sofalcone and $d_3$ -sofalcone metabolite solutions (internal standard), respectively. After adding 0.5 mL of acetonitrile to the 96-well plate, the plasma samples were then vortexed for 30 sec. After centrifugation, the supernatant was transferred into another 96-well plate and completely evaporated at 40 ${^{\circ}C}$ under a stream of nitrogen. Dry residues were reconstituted with mobile phase and were injected into a $C_{18}$ reversed-phase column. The limit of quantitation of sofalcone and its metabolite was 2 ng/mL, using a sample volume of 0.2 mL for analysis. The reproducibility of the method was evaluated by analyzing 10 replicates over the concentration range of 2 ng/mL to 1000 ng/mL. The validation experiments of the method have shown that the assay has good precision and accuracy. Sofalcone and its metabolite produced a protonated precursor ion ([M+H] $^+$ ) of m/z 451 and 453, and a corresponding product ion of m/z 315 and 317, respectively. Internal standard ( $d_3$ -sofalcone and $d_3$ -sofalcone metabolite) produced a protonated precursor ion ([M+H] $^+$ ) of m/z 454 and 456 and a corresponding product ion of m/z 315 and 317, respectively. The method has been successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study of sofalcone and its active metabolite in human plasma.

    초록

Presented is a voltammetric study of co-adsorption of irreversibly adsorbing Sb and Te on Pt(111). When a layer of Sb and Te was formed via simultaneous adsorption, the reduction peak of Te was observed at 0.30 V in the initial cathodic scan. In contrast, sequential adsorption of Sb followed by Te adsorption led to a Te reduction peak at 0.50 V in the initial scan. As the voltammetric scan was continued, in addition, the voltammogram of the simultaneously co-adsorbed layer changed, while that of the sequentially co-adsorbed layer did not. These observations are discussed in terms of formation of a homogeneously mixed layer and a layer consisting of heterogeneously separated domains of Sb and Te. Also, the difference in the adsorption strength of Sb and Te was observed.
