    The research measured 14 spots including four streetlights, five public buildings, and five officetels to obtain data needed for the improvement of townscape, grasping the characteristics of the design of landscape lighting of Dongdaeguro in Daegu Metropolitan city. The result of the research shows that landscape lighting by outside lightings of buildings had almost no effect and also it was formed with darker landscape lighting due to high buildings that had no effect of outside lighting. In addition, landscape lighting by streetlights have no unity due to different management facilities of the lightstreets.

    Fuel cell (FC) distributed generation (DG) is gradually becoming more attractive to mainstream electricity users as capacity improves and costs decrease. New technologies including inverters are becoming available to provide a uniform standard interconnection of DGs with an electric power system. Some of the operating conflicts and the effect of DG on power quality are addressed and investigated through simulations on a real distribution network with an FC power plant. The results of these simulations have proved load tracking capability following the real and reactive power change of the load and have shown the flow of overcurrent from an FC power plant during the ground fault of a distribution line.

    With the diversification of distribution facilities, existing distributed generation can be subdivided into Microgrids, which are smaller units for application. These Microgrids, subdivided as such and connected to distribution systems, should operate under driving plans that will ensure their economic efficiency and, accordingly, the configuration of those distribution systems that include Microgrids should also be changed. The perception of the necessity to secure the economic efficiency of distribution systems is gradually increasing and studies intended to assess the economic efficiency of Microgrids and Smartgrids are ongoing. In this paper, the power generation capacity of an economically operative Microgrid was calculated using the MonteCarlo simulation, which is a method based on the probability theory considering the power generation cost of Microgrids linked with power supply systems and reverse sales costs, etc., and an optimum distribution systems was configured based on the results of these calculation.

    We propose a new routing protocol, MCQosR, that is based on bandwidth estimation, admission control, and a routing metric, MCCR - suitable for wireless ad-hoc networks with multiple radios and channels. To use the full capacity of a wireless link, we assume a node with multiple radios for full duplex operation, and a radio using multiple channels to exclude route-intra interference. This makes it possible to use the capacity of a wireless link. Then, to provide bandwidth and delay guarantee, we have a radio with a fixed channel for layer-3 data reception at each node, used to estimate the available bandwidth and expected delay of a wireless link. Based on the estimate of available bandwidth and delay, we apply the call admission control to a new call requiring bandwidth and delay guarantee. New calls with traffic that will overflow link or network capacity are rejected so the accepted calls can use the required bandwidth and delay. Finally, we propose a routing metric, MCCR, which considers the channel contentions and collisions of a wireless link operating in CSMA/CA. MCCR is useful for finding a route with less traffic and distributing traffic over the network to prevent network congestion as much as possible. The simulation of the MCQosR protocol and the MCCR metric shows traffic is distributed and guaranteed service is provided for accepted calls.

    With the improvement of industrial society, high quality electrical energy, simplification of operation and maintenance, and ensuring reliability are being required. Also we request an urgent change from $SF_6$ gas to an environment-friendly gas insulation material. In this paper, the experiments of breakdown characteristics by pressure and gap change of $N_2/O_2$ mixture gas through a GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) model were described. This paper reviews basic data of the surface discharge characteristics for Teflon resin in not only pure $N_2$ , $N_2:O_2$ mixture gas as being focused on environmentally-friendly insulating gas, but also $SF_6$ . Also, insulation characteristics by breakdown voltage and surface discharge voltage of $N_2:O_2$ mixture gas in the experimental chamber were studied.

    Faults due to salt damage prevent the provision of stable power supply because they affect large areas and require much time and man power for recovery. Korea, three sides of which are surrounded by sea, is especially exposed to the impact of sea winds and typhoons. Therefore, salt damage to power facilities is one of the greatest problems of Korea's power system. To prevent salt damage pollution of insulators, the salt damage deposit on the insulators is regularly measured, and the insulators are washed when their salt damage deposits are expected to reach a critical level. When salt is detected on the insulators, however, errors are likely to occur according to different workers and environments. Therefore, a leakage current measurement method was proposed in this study to check the salt damage pollution level and reduce these errors.

    Photo-capacitor electrodes are attracting great attention because of their high capacitance and potential applications in electronic devices. Carbon capacitor, active carbon capacitor and its combination will be fabricated using a sandwich method as carbonaceous material on each type of storable electrode with $20{\times}15$ [mm] cell size. Carbon/active carbon cell was fabricated using sol-gel process with $120[^{\circ}C]$ dry temperature in 2hour and using sintering process with $500[^{\circ}C]$ in 2hour. The effect of sintering temperature on carbon properties was also investigated with an X-ray diffraction technique to get the best sintering temperature. The detail of the fabrication process will be explained. Active carbon as carbonaceous material has a better capacitance in storable electrode with mean thickness $32[{\mu}m]$ and with particle size $1[{\mu}m]$ to $4.5[{\mu}m]$ in $20{\times}15$ [mm] sample size of storable electrode.
