    초록

    The purpose of this paper is to analyze the lyric origin of Park Mokweal"s poetry in the way of analyzing the "mother" image. In his poetry the mother image is very important one because it is the key of the pursuit of lyric origin. The mother image is the important part of the hometown image. that is the dominant factor of his poetry. It is important that the mother image corresponds with the sense of return to the hometown. The nostalgia in the middle period of his poetry is mainly formed with the mother image. And the sense of return to hometown in his late periods has the same meaning of the sense of return to eternal maternity. It is important that the collection of poems named 〈mother〉 is published in the late period that he shows the return to the hometown. The publishing time of this collection shows that the return to the maternity is located beneath the sense of return to the hometown. In his poetry the point to the mother image is the point to the vertical relationship. In the mother poetry he assumed a childhood attitude to his mother. It shows that he set importance on the vertical relationship rather than the horizontal relationship. We can find this point to the vertical relationship in his other poetry. Thus we can find out that his eyes are always opened to the upward. And the mother image works on him the pathway to God. The point to the vertical relationship offers the keys that we can pursuit the lyric origin in his poetry. From his point to this vertical relationship we can understand that he perceives the world in the vision of God. Thus the idea of God is the lyric origin in his poetry.

    초록

    This paper started to having a critical mind for reflective basis of established studies of Kim kwang-kyun"s poetry. The studies have been consistent in aspect that technics was modernism. but mind was not it. That signifies to deficient of will of culture critical in western modernism. This valuation unsettled a originality of korean modernism under Kim ki-lim"s thought. This paper sought to non-imagism in Kim kwang-kyun"s modernism. Imagism contains value of only technics" modernism. It makes an entrance pre-step of regular modernism in western. Therefore. Kim"s poetry was named imagism for a notion of valuation. Kim"s poetry applies a image for poetical technics. But it is other dimensional image. not to imagism. On the contrary. that is a technics of the postimpressionists. His poetry receives technics of the postimpressionists accordly. The expression of subjective emotion is not contradictive elements but important elements of Kim"s poetry in modernism technics. It fulfills function guide of his national shape. His strong subjective emotion is poetical self"s will to search his national shape in impact culture. For the last time. the subjective emotion of his poetry is a practical role to understand Kim"s poetry.

    초록

    The post-colonialism is a point of view that fundamentally judges the colonial period and after the colonial period by identical coloniality. Thus the post-colonialism can be called an attitude to require investigation and dissolution of the colonaility that still exercises its influence after independence, as it did in the military colonial period. If the colonial modern age is located in the context to justify that Japanese imperialism dominated Korea, the modernization discourse embodies the logic of power to justify that western society dominated anti-western society. Therefore, this article intends to read Kim Su-Young and his poetry, concentrated on a critical mind in the post-colonialism that attempted to oppose or counteract to ideology centering around Europe. The critical mind in the post-colonialism can be a method to understand modern age and modernity of the third world. And it is another poetry reading to approach Kim Su-Young and his poetry without fixed substance. Kim Su-Young and his poetry have caused various critical disputes, because of the vast extent in discourse and the difficult text that can"t be understood. Kim Su-Young and his poetry reveals the post-colonial situation typically. In the structure divided into two, that is. the center and the periphery. they imply the superiority or the opposition of the latter to the former. This formulation can be called the course of self-differentiation to establish an identity of the poetic self that was made a stranger and was made a periphery, with techniques as decolonization, abrogation, appropriation, write back and so on.

    초록

    To learn about how the modern poetry movement, which started in the Western world earlier, has been developed, reflected and practiced by whom and which aspects in the process of its transition to modern Korean poetry, I researched the intellectual aspect of modern poetry, which is the supposition of modernism debate in my previous studies. I also studied, in a broader context, the functional relation between the modern era"s situation and modern poetry, and the concept of western originated modernism and its literary status by connecting it with the various 20 century"s trend of thoughts. While the clear concept and categorization of modernism itself is difficult, I consulted my earlier research and continued to establish the included concept and category of modernism within the spirit of modernism. I found that modernism in literature regards both all harmful circumstances and spirits which are the result of a one-sided acceleration of civilization as the restriction of individual freedom. It is like a revolting spirit of the times. The world which modernism pursues is represented as an enmity against urban areas and in this case, the word enmity does not mean to destroy the whole civilization but to have the will to seek a sound civilization as its base. In this research, I divided my study into two parts to find out how modernism, which seems to be indefinite. has been transferred and continued in literary works during the 1930" s in Korea. In the first part, I checked the trend of the works of theorists and poets who, in any way, became involved in the Modern Korean Poetry Movement from the early 1930s to the 1950s. The second part deals with the Korean poets of the 80"s who lived during the percolating process of the first half of Korean modernism. and who are regarded as being successful, for they are based on the keen aesthetic of urban space. I selectively took their works of this line and examined them. As a result, I found that one group takes root in Kim Choonsoo and another, Kim Sooyoung.

    초록

    This dissertation is a study on the creation-methods of Kim Choon Soo"s poetry in the 1960"s. Here creation-methods means a signifying practice methods to mediate the relation of subject and object(world). In particular, I observed that the Creation-Methods of Kim Choon Soo"s poetry in the 1960"s is products of experiments. In chapter 2~4, I scrutinized the poetry of Kim Choon Soo. and elucidated the correlation of the motives of his experiments and his understanding of the contemporary. In chapter 5, I focused on the correlation of Kim Choon Soo"s creation-methods and the subjectivism in the trends of aesthetics. and examined the significance of the creation-methods of Kim Choon Soo"s poetry in the 1960"s. Consequently, the creation-methods of Kim Choon Soo"s poetry in the 1960"s deepened the depth of the creation-methods of the korean contemporary poetry and widened the width of its. But its didn"t overcome the dichotomy of poetic writings versus prose writings and poet versus citizen. Therefore. the creation-methods of Kim Choon Soo"s poetry in the 1960"s overlooked the importance of society.

    This paper is on the collection 『PeHeoUi YeomGun』(The Blaze of Ruins), published by "ChoSun HakSengHwe"(The Korean Students Organization) in 1923. In the history of modern Korean literature, the collection was published as second edition and was consisted of 7 poets" works. But it is not so widely known that there is few articles discussed. The aim of this paper is the general introduction and the presentation of original text which is a manuscript. And this paper may provide some impetus on making the development of modern Korean poetry in 1920s". The poets" works of this collection is as follows: Park Pal-Yang, 「MulNoRae」(Song of Water Flowing); Yun Jung-Ho. 「SwaeYakUi WhanHi」(Pleasure of the Sick-ness). 「NaGeuNae」(The Wandered): Lee Se-Ki, 「HaeGolUi Chum」(Dance of Skeleton); Bang Jun-Kyung, 「WhanSang-YaGok」(Nocturnal Fantasia): Choi Kang, 「NoRaeHaNun KwangJo」(Singing Mad Bird), 「GipUn SUP」(Depth of Forestry): Jo Gui-Sun, 「NaUi SulPum」(My Sorrow): Yum Hyong-U, 「WeonMang」(Longingness for Agony): Bang Jun-Kyung, 「AeChang」(My Song)

    In educational sphere. it is very important that man act and think toward values. Human doing has values in that action. thinking, and so on. But we should consider difference between value in general and that in literature texts. In literature texts, writer"s value-tendency to be shown as much concrete. formative. In this paper, case of Su-young Kim, we study value in literature texts. specially Korean modernist poetry. essay. In early days. his poetry 〈Difficulty of Living of Gong-ja〉, he think it is so important that attaining higher truth. as his try to be compared case of Saint Gong-ja. His try could be called "Viewing honestly". His try "Viewing honestly" means fighting against "Being not correct. not honest". Especially. he uses everyday living. trivial thing as writing materials. His poetry 〈To Man-yŏng〉, his gaze is toward trouble between himself and his boyservant. That trouble is so trivial. nervous. But his try to show this trivial relation is that anything as natural in authoritarian society is problematic in real. In after days. his try toward renewal is going on. He see frames of emotional response as problematic. that view is similar to that of cultural studies today.

    초록

    The development of realistic poetry in history of Korean literature has not been a smooth one. In the outer literature, it had to resist against the Japanese Imperialism and the deteriorated ideology of liberal democracy, whereas in the field of literature itself, against sentimentalism, mannerism, pure lyrics and abstruse poetry. Though. in its due course, realistic poetry experiencing rise and fall and growing competitive enough has now gained a somewhat firm position in the history of Korean literature. Speaking of the development of realistic poetry as a way of ensuring itself in Korean literature, it would be of value to discuss its significances and shortcomings. One of its foremost benefits would be the formation of stories or events that are easy to understand into poetry, which succeeded in attracting a larger group of readers than ever. Instead of writing poems that are rather technical-, and rhetorical-oriented, realistic poetry seeing its readers also as non-professional has opened a new scope of mind that poetry is not something difficult to approach at all. Through this, realistic poetry has played a prominent role in the contribution to the popularization of poetry. As for the next. realistic poetry as a mirror of reality has shown besides personal usefulness its capacity for powering change to its society as well as for confronting with the political and social reality. In other words. broadening the meaning that a poetry can possess into the scope of social aspect. realistic poetry in effect has pronounced itself to be able to play a role in the social sphere and not only in the sphere of personal creation such as expressing personal thoughts and feelings. The political piece of literature. the proletarian(?) poetry which transcended the class partisanship and the poetry of civil movement of the 1970"s which stood against the dictatorship are examples for this. Hence considering such significances of realistic poetry. one cannot criticize realistic poetry as for having been politically oriented. Even though. it is undeniable that realistic poetry has failed in realizing poetic implications. which is the characteristic of poetic language. Seeing poetic language and its characteristics as not wholly speaking things that can be spoken and thus. stimulating readers" imaginations. realistic poetry on the other hand telling about stories and events in a much blunt way has blocked the free play of imaginations that should have taken place in readers" minds. This weakness already pinpointed with the rise of pro poetry is not an exception for the poetry of civil movements that followed later. These benefits and shortcomings, though, are both positive products in history of modern Korean poetry in the aspect of inheritance and conquest, respectively. Seen from this perspective, the legacy of realistic poetry is our portion to enjoy, i.e. it is not something which we can leave to someone else, but rather the honor and the load which we should enjoy for our future of Korean literature.

    Sur-realism is seem theoretically challenge of impossible. because it is showed literature, Sur-real than real. Unconsciousness than consciousness. Sur-realism is deep relation of Dada and Futurism. and Sur-realism is experimented many artical technique. an example. Frottage, Fumage, Decalcomania, Cadabre exquis, Free-association, Automatism, Depaysement, Parallelism etc. Sur-realism is occurrence in Europe through Japan, get into Korea. Japan Sur-realism is near the Intellectualism than Sur-realism. Korean Sur-realism is influenced twenties poet Janghee.Lee. thirties poet Sang, Lee, Siwoo, Lee, Beksoo, Shin, fifties poet Hyang, Cho, and hereafter, Choonsoo, Kim, Kooyong, Kim, Jongsam, Kim, Inhwan, Pak, eighties poet Sungbok, Lee, Jiwoo, Hwang. but, Korean Sur-realism is cannot influence in prose and novel. And failed obtain the domain of sympathy, because Korean history situation and real problem.

    초록

    The purpose of this paper is to investigate the general trends of Hwang Soon-Wen"s poetry according to two periods: before and after creating a novel. This two periods are very distinct from each other on the view of genre. The poem which was created before creating a novel is as a period of transition, which was made before a change of genre of novel. On the other hands the one which was created after creating a novel has a area which is not able to be presented as a novel as shown in his collection of poems "mokthanhwa". Hwang Soon-Wan"s poetry has a several transfiguration in his whole age and is very related to his novel. In this paper we think that his style of novel, which is very short and moderated and very lyric, is based on his experimentalism on creating a poem. We recognize that the admiration for a life and the love for peoples. which are continued from his early poems to his later poems constan tly, are in collusion with his topics in the world of his literature.
