    초록

    1. The tourist industry of Korea should be operated whithin the limit of keeping order and respecting the Law, especially the constitution which is the fundamental Law of a Nation. 2. The idealogy of tourism, when support the regulations of tourism and a tour, is prescribed in the constitution. 3. No part of Article which does not have related to tourism can be found in the constitution from Article 1 through Article 130. 4. These part, However, have not yet been the subject of the tourism of study in Korea. 5. Therefor what is called the idealogy of tourism, which relate to tourist industry in every text of the constitution, is going to be studied in this research paper.

    This study reviews the scientific management theories and discusses those theories within the food service industry. By providing the principles and the practical implications of the theories on the food service industry, this study tries to identify their philosophies and usefulness to the industry so that the managers in the industry use them in their dylmanic operations. In the fastly changing modern globalized world, we now face a situation where it's becoming more and more difficult to mange a restaurant business. In order to build a food industry business that can maintain a continuous development in today's business environment, one will have to apply the professional management theory in a cost-reduce strategy. It is more important though to have managers, organization members, in short, any person who can work to be motivated in accomplishing these two major issues-income increase and cost reduction. In this erawhere it's getting so difficult for researches on possible strategies for these business managers to overcome their difficulties. It is for certain that in the upcoming second millenium the travel and tourism industry will be one of the world's biggest industry worldwide. Korea's hotel industry has developed since the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games and has shown great amount of competition within the same business. Thus managers have become acquainted with the "know-how" strategy and the practical and scientific managemnet theories were introduced. This helped not only to increase income but also to maximize profit. However, rather than concentration on the "Hard-ware" aspect "Soft-ware" related professional management strategies were developed along with professionalism and human service were emphazied. As such, the actual cost of food and beverages are for the hotel industry business managers the biggest shortterm expense item. Due to the natural state of food items, there is a great chance of "Loss" in preservance, and this is the reason it is complicated to effectively maintain food. As a consequence, very often, the failure to managea hotel or restaurant depends on the capability of the food and beverage preservance mangement: on how they are able to manage effectively the original price of food and beverage. Finally, the main problem of the original price management of food and beverage in Korean hotels are: a) No fixation of set price b) The difficulty to calculate the price difference between a set price and an original price. c) Lack of professinalism in managing the food and beverage original price. d) Lack of perception of the highest ranking management personnels. So as to reform these matters it is necessary to : a) Reform on the management accounting system b) Emphasize to the people in charge on the idea of original price management c) Reinforce original price mangement prevention and assurance of indepedent inspection rights d) Reat manpower

    초록

    Many of the measures and policies advocated by supply-siders, such as lower taxation, less government intervention, more freedom from restrictive legislation and regulation, and the need for increased productivity can be found in writing the classical economist. Nor is supply-side economics a complete divorcement from Keynesian analysis. In both camps the objectives are the same-high level employment, stable prices and healthy economic growth, the means or suggestions for attaining the objectives, however, differ. Consequently, recommended economic policies and measures are different. keynesians rely primarily on the manipulation of effective demand to increase output and employment and to combat inflation. They assume ample resources to be available in order that supply will respond to demand. The supply-siders emphasize the need to increase savings, investment, productivity and output as a means of increasing income. Supply-siders assume that the increase in income will lead to an increase in effective demand. Keynesians suggest that savings, particularly those not invested, dampen economic activity. Supply-siders hold that savings, or at least an increase in after-tax income, stimulates work effort and provides funds for investment. Perhaps keynesians are guilty of assuming that most savings are not going to be invested, whereas supply-siders may erroneously assume that almost all savings will flow into investment and/ or stimulate work effort. In reality, a middle ground is possible. The supply-siders stress the need to increase supply, but Keynes did not preclude the possibility of increasing economic activity by working through the supply side. According to Keynes' aggregate demand-aggregate supply framework, a decrease in supply will increase output and employment. It must be remembered, however, that Keynes' aggregate supply is really a price. Lowering the price or cost of supply would there by result in higher profit and/ or higher output. This coincides with the viewpoint of supply-siders who want to lower the cost of production via various means for the purpose of increasing supply. Then, too, some of the means, such as tax cuts, tax credits and accelerated depreciation, recommended by suply-siders to increase productivity and output would be favored by Keynesians also as a means of increasing investment, curbing costs, and increasing effective demand. In fact, these very measures were used in the early 1960s in the United State during the years when nagging unemployment was plaguing the economy. Keynesians disagree with the supply-siders' proposals to reduce transfer payments and slow down the process of income redistribution, except in full employment inflationary periods. Keynesians likewise disagree with tax measures that favored business as opposed to individuals and the notion of shifting the base of personal taxation away from income and toward spending. A frequent criticism levied at supply-side economics is that it lacks adequate models and thus far has not been quantified to any great extent. But, it should be remembered that Keynesian economics originally was lacking in models and based on a number of unproved assumptions, such as, the stability of the consumption function with its declining marginal propensity to consume. Just as the economic catastrophe of the great depression of the 1930s paved the way for the application of Keynesian or demand-side policies, perhaps the frustrating and restless conditions of the 1970s and 1980s is an open invitation for the application of supply-side policies. If so, the 1980s and 1990s may prove to be the testing era for the supply-side theories. By the end of 1990s we should have better supply-side models and know much more about the effectiveness of supply-side policies. By that time, also, supply-side thinking may be more crystallized and we will learn whether it is something temporary that will fade away, be widely accepted as the new economics replacing Keynesia

    This study, by setting the systems of room sale promotion, analyzing the actual status and the present working state with its center on the 'RHotel' that is a special grade-two hotel and the sales promotion activities of each type, intends to understand the presentstatus of the hotel and present its problems and the method for improvement. The strategy of salespromotion and the ineffectivenessof the system organization were found to be imminent in the sales promotion activities as its problems, and the importanceis being not attached to the actual substance rather than to the actualresults, such as the advertisement and publicity strategies, the irrationality of sales personnel controland its evaluation method, and therefore, the goal-oriented control is not being takenad its problems are emerging. Therefore, as an improvement plan, we ought to put the plan of the hotel merchandising into action for customers to buy what they want, the establishment of the customer-oriented sales promotionservice and the communication channel using the brand-new managerial skills, systemaizesales promotion method sand strategies, develop the organizational and systematic strategies develop the organizatinal and systemactic strategies and goods for the sake of the image-making and room sales promotion of hotels, develop the activation ways of flexible operation, and also need to develop the skills of sales promotion. Accordingly, by doing irrationalsales activities in the system and the promotion with its center on the sales promotion department, and it sis urgently required that we streng then the comodity developments fitting the hotel's traits, such as uniformpolicy of cost, mass-communicationactivities for sales promotion, the improvement of non-effectiveness, and advertisement of hotel items, and the publishing of public relation books. Therefore, the best weapon for hotels before other purchaseis to be discriminatized from other competitive hotel with theunderstanding of the psychology and activities of customers, and the communicatin with customers, and to set up organicprograms of sales promotionstrategies. Also we must promote our sales in accordance with the desire of new customers, gater the market information of customers, all the time, and systematize the facility improvement, managerial policy, business strategiescorresponding with the desire of customers. By doing so, we are able to seek, at the same time, both the satis faction of customers and the sales maximization of the hotels that will perfrom the activities of sales promotion and management.

This system's goal is to accomplish employee ability development. The purpose of this study is to make some contributions in order to efficient performance appraisal system of hotels by analyzing the problems of current performance appraisal system. The suggestions for efficient performance appraisal system are as follows: 1. Performance appraisal by job analysis. 2. Though evaluators' training for objective assessment. 3. The assistance system of appraisal results for employees. 4. Magnifying use of appraisal results. 5. Object management strategy by using self-rating.

    초록

    Today's hotel cannot be defined merely as a place of providing food and lodgin. It must be a high level cultural ground serving as a place of rest for the people and as a place of art, culture and communication for the local community. Although each hotel has its own distinctiveness it must share a unified services and product sales strategies with one another in order to raise each other's sales values. The service is evaluated on the basis of the customer's own living standard and social class. There ought to be variety of personal and material services taking the sophistication and complexity of the customer's needs into onsideration. More effective marketing strategy is called for upon knowing such sales strategy and service marketing of the hotel management. Hotel's food marketing must take into consideration the product's simulaneous and vanishing qualities, its dependency upon ordering and its relationship to human services industries. Methods of increasing profit and customer satisfaction management need to be made. Especially the changes in the customer's tourist mind set and eat-out behavior play as important variabls, and the management needs to be reflexive enough to respond quickly to those changes.
