  1. [해외논문]   Implicit Cognition for Alcohol in the Workplace: An Essay Review Article for Health Promotion and Human Resources Management

    Alcohol misuse is an occupational risk factor and, therefore, a regular theme in health-promotion programs in the workplace. However, Human Resources Management could expand the effectiveness of these programs, especially if implicit measures, such as attentional bias for alcohol cues were assessed. Attentional bias is an automatic behavior, which is the tendency to direct attention to emotionally relevant stimuli (e.g., pleasure, reward, danger). It was previously observed in alcohol-dependent (and non-dependent) adults and appointed as a risk marker to alcohol misuse. Thus, the aim of this paper is to theoretically address possible relationships between frequency of participation in alcohol-prevention programs in the workplace and attentional bias to alcohol cues related to drinking. We suggest that implicit measures of risk for alcohol misuse could be assessed by the organizations and that lower results could be found in employees with frequent participation in alcohol-prevention programs at work. This discussion can contribute to definitions about frequency schedules for preventive actions at work and can support the development of cognitive-oriented technologies to identify employees' implicit motivational states in relation to health goals.

    With the rapid development in digital and mobile technologies, banks or other financial institutions have provided various mobile banking solutions or services to their customers for enabling mobile commerce. However, there is always a trade-off between convenience and security for people to decide whether they adopt mobile banking services or not. In the mobile age, people are concerned for transaction security and information privacy immensely. Accordingly, how to provide the secured financial services to their customers become more important for a bank. Survey research method is imported to understand how the privacy mechanism, including privacy policy and privacy empowerment, influences the adaption of mobile banking. Based on a survey of 425 participants, we used a structural equation modeling approach to investigate the research model. The results indicate that privacy mechanisms are matter for people to concern about the privacy of their personal information and their intention to use mobile banking. In other words, we found that privacy empowerment is significant which in turn led customers to be more likely to adopt mobile banking.

    초록

    Performance evaluation is a major measure adopted by the organizations in evaluating the quantitative and qualitative contributions rendered by their employees. The competitive and employee oriented business world has now joined hands with the HR department in assisting and managing employee performance. Psycho-social factors of employees would be considered at various managerial levels for enhancing employees' job performance. Job satisfaction is such a psychological attribute, whose contribution to the concept of employee performance is much more. A satisfied employee would have an emotional bond with the organization and takes pride in their membership, which paves way to keep up industrial integrity and a high morale. This is an exploratory research, attempting to discover how the dimensions of job satisfaction are significantly related to the job performance of an employee. The data were collected from employees working in Automobile industry, Punjab having experience of above or below 10 years, so as to ensure relatively accurate responses on performance evaluation at different groups of employees in the Automobile industry. The result shows the existence of a positive correlation between the dimensions of job satisfaction and performance of employees at both supervisors and workers levels working in the Automobile industry.

    In this paper, a concurrent planning of production and distribution is considered for manufacturers. In the production section production machines with a specific capacity that has the possibility of process multiple tasks simultaneously are intended and the tasks have the desired size and processing time and the overall size of the tasks within each category does not exceed the capacity of the machine. Also in distribution section the vehicles have specified capacity. In this study, by using meta-heuristic Genetics Algorithm the production problem is solved and in genetic algorithms to obtain better solutions help operators crossover and mutation has been taken. Results show that by increasing the size of the issue of genetic algorithms nearly optimum solutions and provides a shorter running time.

    Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important part of every business entity and as such has been described as a tool to build the brand equity of a business. Thus, understanding its implications help firms to build their brand equity. Therefore, this study investigates into building brand equity through the influence of CSR in Hollard Insurance Company, Kumasi. Questionnaires were designed and administered to a sample of 373 employees and customers of the Hollard Insurance Company. The data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics, cronbach alpha and multiple regression. The study shows that all CSR variables influence Brand Equity. However, Legal, Ethical, Voluntary and aggregated Corporate Social Responsibility significantly influence Brand Equity, with positive relationships. Ethical Responsibility was found not to be significant, but had a positive influence on Brand equity. The findings suggest that with Hollard Insurance commitments to legal, ethical and voluntary responsibility; they can present better view of their services by considering the CSR and include a positive brand association of their name in people's minds. It was further suggested that Hollard Insurance Company should review its CSR to assess the quality of legal, ethical and voluntary responsibilities to determine whether they are effectively carried out.
